I’m Irish and a mate gave me a slab of this beer for free, taste absolutely brutal but it’s still beer so I accepted. Is this a known brand in Denmark?

  1. It’s sort of a common type of beer. The most famous is probably the master brew from Carlsberg. Most people don’t like, or drink, them.

  2. Pretty sure this is export only, i’ve never seen it in shops here.

Not a great beer, but it’ll get the job done, and quick

  3. Three pieces of these bastards will get you singing Frank Sinatra all night long. I’m speaking from experience here.

  4. The Danish Footballer John “Faxe” Jensen’s nickname, who scored the 1-0 goal in the Euro 92 final, stems from this brewery.

He got the nickname because the local bullies liked to pour Faxe beer into his curly hair. Over time he developed a taste for it and it became his favourite beer.

  5. It was for some reason very common and popular when I traveled in Brazil, but never seen here at home.

  6. I don’t drink it in Denmark but Lidl in Portmarnock sell them so sometimes I pick one up, note as a gimmick for guests.

  7. It’s not sold in Denmark at all as Faxe beer is for export only nowadays. The brewery is still well known at produces a lot of beer under different brands as well as a ton of other beverages. The only Faxe branded beverage you can by in Denmark is Faxe Kondi which is a soft drink
