The family of a missing student who is thought to have travelled to the Kent coast are growing increasingly concerned – as police appeal for help finding him.

Junmo Jeong told a friend he was visiting an art gallery in London on Thursday, February 26, before travelling to St Pancras station – but he has not been seen since.

Ticket purchases seen in his emails suggest that the 20-year-old caught a train to Dover Priory.

His mother, Kim Sunhee, is in Korea and is frantic with worry.

She told KentOnline: “He was always the son who told us everything about everywhere he went.

“I can’t understand this situation, but if he’s just taking some time because his heart is heavy, as his mother, I can wait.

“But now it’s been four or five days.

“If something has happened to him, I can’t bear thinking about my son suffering in some dangerous situation.

“It hurts so much. Junmo, my beloved son Junmo, I miss you so much.”

He is around 5ft 6in, with very short dark hair. He may be wearing jeans, a metallic grey bomber jacket and headphones.

Junmo is a first‑year menswear undergraduate at the London College of Fashion.

His mother added: “My son! I desperately pray you return safely to our family’s arms.

“May the Lord protect you wherever you are, keep you completely safe without a single scratch.”

A police spokesperson said: “Our officers are concerned for Junmo’s welfare. If you have critical information regarding Junmo’s whereabouts, call 999.

“If you have any other information to help locate him, call 101 or use the live chat function on the Kent Police website.

“Please use the reference 01-0308.”
