ROME, N.Y. — The Rome Rescue Mission is inviting the community to an Easter celebration with a special brunch and meal deliveries for those in need.
The Easter celebration will take place on Sunday, April 5 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Rome Rescue Mission.
The dining room will serve brunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and takeout will be available.
Easter meal deliveries are scheduled for Friday, April 3 at several locations in Rome.
Colonial I Apartments from 11 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., Colonial II Apartments from 11:20 a.m. to 11:35 a.m., Madison Plaza from noon to 12:20 p.m., Rome Mall from 12:30 p.m. to 12:45 p.m., Valentine Apartments from 1 p.m. to 1:15 p.m., and Georgian Arms from 1:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.
Meals will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis to anyone in need.
The Rome Rescue Mission is asking for donations of food items such as hams, potatoes, mixed vegetables, pasta, eggs, butter, milk, juice, sugar, creamer, mayonnaise, Easter candy, chips, pies or desserts, and paper products like plates, napkins and paper towels.
Donations can be dropped off Monday through Friday at 413 East Dominick St. from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
