I’m as pro-vaccine as they come, but… is that even legal?
> there would be a legal requirement to get vaccinated from 1 February 2022

Also the first country in europe to require vaccination starting February 1st 2022.
First domino of winter 2021 has fallen
Who’s next?
Thanks Austria for paving the way for mandatory vaccinations. Sadly, it’s the only way to get our idiots to get the vaccine and now our politicians have less arguments left to oppose it.
And what happens if someone refuses to have the jab after it becomes a legal requirement? Locked up? Taken round the back and executed?
If you can’t see the parallels between this and 1930s germany I don’t know what to tell you.
This is the nation that gave us Adolf Hitler though!
It’s almost 2022 and there are still lockdowns … this nightmare will never end.

Remember when they said vaccines would be the way out?
“Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg said it would last a maximum of 20 days.”
So it will be over by at least 13 December? Am I reading that correctly? It sounds like a firebreak that the UK has tried in the past. I hope it works.
Good for Austria!
I hope this will pave the way for mandatory vaccination in all Europe.
Mandatory vaccinations have happened multiple times in different countries in Europe: France, Italy, Spain…
I understand mandatory vaccines but fuck another lockdown for vaccinated people. And Czech politicians always love copying Austria’s stupid decisions so I expect it to come here too.
Goodbye my next week travel. I’m crushed 😭 And ofc Austruan airlines is not reachable rn…
What really angers me the most is how selfish people are.
We have thousands of people getting sick and dying every single fucking day. We have hospitals saturated. We have doctors, nurses, etc, fucking tired of working. We have many people that cannot be treated on time of their other issues because of this.
And some people don’t get the vaccine because they are afraid or on moral grounds. And many other don’t follow some simple rules, like wearing masks and maintaining social distance, because it’s inconvenient.
first they came for the unvaccinated…
Another lockdown? That’s fucking crazy.
I’m kinda glad our government doesn’t seem to give a shit anymore.
And in the meantime Switzerland is going to hold a [referendum](https://loicovid-non.ch/) on 28th Nov to decide whether to use COVID Certificate or not.
Question to Austrians:

Do you think they will extend the lockdown after 20 days?
They have lost their minds. These vaccines don’t stop virus from spreading or people from dying. So, you either make proper vaccines or f off.
WW1 was started cause of Austria looks like WW3 will too.
Oh nooo, please don’t make me stay at home all day and play videogames, I love working so much, nooo!
Hmm, it’s hard to have strong feelings on making the vaccination mandatory because it’s killing other people by filling up hospitals, but I have severe reservations about state mandated medical treatment. Surely they could just make it so incredibly inconvenient that people would really have to be at the really extreme end of the scale not to just bite it?
I can’t believe people are actually supporting a legally mandated vaccine. Like wtf happened to people.
Especially when we’ve seen that vaccines don’t effect case numbers, it effects mortality. And yet case numbers are still thrown around as if important
Random question, but do any Austrians here know if ski resorts are affected by these lockdowns? Have a trip planned for February and a bit worried now :/
The vaxx elitists on this sub are as sad as the anti vaxxers.
Just take the ficking
Vaccine? Why are people being full retards about it
Why is it allways austria whenni it concerns violating human rights.
