Apologies for another COVID travel related post. Myself and a few friends are planning to take a flight to Bratislava from the UK next week. We will be catching a train within 2 hours to arrive in Budapest. Two of us are not vaccinated.

I have tried to research first (And read a few posts here too) and have become a little confused with what seems to be conflicting information.

[https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/slovakia/entry-requirements](https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/slovakia/entry-requirements) on the UK government website it says an un vaccinated person can arrive if transiting out the country within 8 hours. BUT in a car. If this is true I’m guessing catching a train is out of the question?

A few of the posts here have clear answers that all travel restrictions have been uplifted as stated on this website a kind stranger has linked [https://korona.gov.sk/cestovanie-do-sr/](https://korona.gov.sk/cestovanie-do-sr/)

Sorry if I’m being stupid here but I needed to double double triple check before hitting the panic button.

  1. All covid-related travel restrictions in Slovakia have been lifted, but your flight may still have some rules of its own, so watch out for those too.

  2. As far as I know, all restrictions have been lifted. You don’t even need a mask in most places anymore. However be aware that you still officially do need a mask in pharmacies and hospitals. The rules are applied laxly nowadays, but you never know, bring your mask just in case you need to buy painkillers or whatever. (depends on the pharmacy if they require it or not, at least in my small town its mixed, but according to the rules they should)

Otherwise, as far as I know, no one checks vaccination and masks aren’t worn anywhere else except for medical facilities. Basically, life is back to normal.
