SCP-001 when day breaks
“Red sky at night, shepherd’s delight; red sky in morning, shepherd’s warning.”
Basically, particularly at sunrise and sunset, various atmospheric conditions — cloud cover, precipitation, dust — can make the sunlight shining through it appear orange or red. The saying I quoted works for most of western Europe because the prevailing winds are from the west.
I don’t know how accurately your camera’s sensor is reproducing those colours, especially if white balance is on auto, but that just looks particularly intense. It might be the issue we sometimes get in these parts of very fine dust from the Sahara being carried over here by the wind.
When I lived in California, the sky looked like this from wildfires. Be careful, friend.
Heute Nacht ist Blut vergossen worden…
Cthulu’s arrival.
