this wont counter the main issue here. Its husband’s jealousy that most of the time doesnt allow these woman to work. They dont just have kids to get benefits but many pregnancies forces the women indirectly so stay home through their 20 and 30.
Seems reasonable. Benefits should be offered for children under 18 but they should be capped. 4 seems a reasonable number.
Wait so migrants are necessary because low work force but discouraging having multiple children is also necessary?
Working with natives is a boost when it comes to integrating and learning the language, you get to discuss with people with a complete different background about everything and learn new things that will help you, so yea from that perspective makes sense if they want to do that. I have to add, seeing a right-party proposing woman should work and not staying in home having multiple kids is weird
The UK caps benefits from the second child. What it has done is forced more children into poverty. It’s a negative, destructive policy that targets the most vulnerable. It doesn’t reduce costs. It increases them through increased healthcare costs, increased need for educational intervention and other costs of poverty.
The problem is that capping benefits actually does not mean that people will only have more children if they can afford it. Instead, people with poor control over their life will still have too many kids, and those kids will live in even more intense poverty :/
Interesting. Usually European right-wing parties all want to have mothers like Ursula von der Leyen.
It’s capped at 2 children in the U.K. and to be honest most criteria for selecting (salary require st for spouses) migrants are aimed are surgically aimed at reducing migrants from backgrounds where state dependency is high.
Already happened here in the UK
Didn’t the UK try something similar that failed miserably?
Would be hugely criticized in France. The more children, the more adults to pay the elderly pensions.
A step in the right direction. I would cap it at 0 kids, 1 at most.
From an econological perspective, we shouldn’t be encouraging large families. Anything more than 2 children is too many.
I actually get this especially with the situation in Sweden and I’m definitely not right wing
I’m not an expert on this subject and I could win many enemies but, if overpopulation is a thing these days, why don’t enforce policies where having more children turns into paying more taxes, instead of more economical aids… If these children are a potential burden for society the more they come the more they should contribute, and that way families will think twice on breeding
