Biden’s team wants EU allies to get real on ‘strategic autonomy’

  1. Good article, only thing the framing of this it’s a bit funny: “The push for increased European military prowess, often called “strategic autonomy,” got a boost from Biden this fall after his administration infuriated France by announcing a surprise Indo-Pacific security partnership with the U.K. and Australia.”
Anyway, like US State Department Counselor said “It’s in America’s interest for Europe to be more capable militarily.” Liberating the US from confronting Russia, helping a bit on anti terrorism. So it can focus on China. And maybe for the EU to join too in the anti china effort.

  2. They can’t because they aren’t united like the USA is(and yes I know people will claim the divisions between pro Republicans and pro Democrats).

  3. America is really out here playing 5D chess. CIA probably created the EU needs its own military narrative that was so popular on this sub not that long ago, lol. You guys here think you know whats going on when in reality the US has a fusion powered Quantum super- computer outlining all possibilities in an underground facility in the New Mexico desert.

#Edit: I was joking about the first 2 parts, I wasnt joking about that last part though. Arrest me! Department of Defense, I dont give a f#$@.

  4. (Didn’t read the article yet),

but the headline alone sounds like they are admitting the EU to be a direct US dependency 🙂 “affording them ‘real’ autonomy”.
