PARIS, Texas (KXII) – Police in Paris are on the lookout for a woman accused of assaulting another woman with a baseball bat.
According to Paris Police, the assault left the victim with multiple broken bones.
Police say the assault happened on March 3 in the 400 block of East Provine Street. A 61-year-old woman told officers that the suspect had approached the victim at her residence, demanding payment for a small debt.
The suspect, a 58-year-old woman who has not been named, struck the victim multiple times with a baseball bat after the victim informed her she could not pay her. The incident was witnessed by several other people according to police.
The victim awoke the next day and reported the incident after realizing the extent of her injuries. Police say she was taken to a local health facility after it was confirmed she had suffered broken bones.
The Paris Police Department is investigating the assault. They say an arrest warrant is expected.
