Nintendo has filed a lawsuit against the U.S. government, contesting tariffs that the company describes as “unlawful.” The video game company is seeking a refund with interest on tariffs that the Supreme Court recently struck down.

The Supreme Court ruled against these tariffs, stating that President Donald Trump’s use of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act was not permissible. Following this decision, President Trump introduced a new global tariff rate.

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency reported collecting approximately $166 billion in duties under the earlier tariffs.
