Riyadh, March 7 (SANA) Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud discussed during a phone call with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan the repercussions of the military escalation in the region on regional and international security.
The Saudi Press Agency reported in a statement on Saturday that the Crown Prince expressed the Kingdom’s condemnation of the Iranian hostile attacks that targeted Türkiye, affirming Saudi Arabia’s support for the measures Ankara is taking to preserve its security and territorial integrity.
In a related context, Prince Mohammed bin Salman also received a phone call from British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, during which they discussed the latest developments in the region and their implications for regional and international security.
The British Prime Minister affirmed his country’s support for the Kingdom regarding the Iranian attacks that targeted its territory, stressing Britain’s backing for all efforts that contribute to preserving Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, stability and territorial integrity.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Turkish Ministry of Defense announced that an air defense system belonging to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), deployed in the eastern Mediterranean, intercepted an Iranian missile launched toward Turkish airspace.
Iran continues to carry out missile and drone attacks on Gulf states and Iraq, causing casualties and material damage to infrastructure, following the U.S. and Israeli war against Iran.
