Majid Takht‑Ravanchi, Iran’s deputy foreign minister, has warned that any European Union member state that joins the US and Israel’s attacks on Iran would become a “legitimate target” for Tehran.

Takht-Ravanchi said in an interview with France 24 on Friday, March 6, that any EU country involved in attacks against Iran would face a legitimate response from Tehran.

These remarks come as tensions in the Middle East have escalated following joint US and Israeli operations against Iran, while European countries are trying to adopt a common stance regarding the crisis.

Iran has previously stated multiple times that any foreign involvement in operations against the country would be met with a reciprocal response.
