The company said the new capability transforms traditional ARI (Availability, Rates and Inventory) distribution into an intelligence-led framework that prioritises updates based on booking urgency and potential revenue impact.

With nearly 70 per cent of hotel bookings now occurring within 30 days of check-in, the company noted that conventional ARI systems often struggle to process updates quickly enough during periods of pricing volatility or last-minute inventory changes. Many legacy systems process updates sequentially, treating all rate and availability changes with equal priority.

This can lead to delayed updates, stale pricing across distribution channels, rate inconsistencies and, in some cases, overselling of hotel inventory.

Agentic ARI aims to address these challenges by shifting ARI distribution from passive processing to intelligent execution. Instead of simply pushing updates in the order received, the system prioritises rate and inventory updates based on factors such as days to check-in, booking windows and real-time market conditions.

According to the company, the system maintains strict first-in, first-out (FIFO) processing within each priority category to preserve data accuracy while accelerating time-sensitive updates.

Bhanu Chopra, Founder and Managing Director of RateGain, said, “This launch reflects our vision to embed AI at the core of travel commerce. Distribution is no longer just about connectivity; it is about intelligent execution of revenue decisions in real time. With Agentic ARI, we are applying AI to ensure that high-impact pricing and inventory updates reach the market with the urgency they deserve. This enables hotels to reduce revenue leakage, improve booking reliability, and operate with greater agility in increasingly compressed booking windows.”

The capability is now live within the UNO Channel Manager and prioritises updates based on proximity to check-in dates and booking windows. This approach helps ensure that near-term rates and inventory remain accurate across online travel agencies (OTAs).

The company said the system can accelerate rate updates, enable quicker competitive price adjustments and allow hotels to recover inventory faster following cancellations while reducing the risk of overselling.

For demand partners, the system is expected to deliver cleaner and prioritised updates while reducing ARI traffic by around 30–40 per cent, helping minimise mismatches and improve booking reliability.

RateGain said Agentic ARI represents the foundation of its next-generation connectivity strategy and the company plans to progressively integrate the intelligence layer across its broader distribution technology portfolio.
