I’m shocked everyone in the UK isn’t roiting/protesting. I hate the fact that everyone is just bending over and taking it.
The real question: how much danger is the UK in while this scumbag clings to power?
I mean, there’s the simple fact that he couldn’t run a jumble sale let alone a country. I can also see him using any means at his disposal to hang in there, whether that means dragging the UK (and world) into a very dangerous position over Ukraine, or going full-on Trump and trashing the UK’s democratic processes. Nothing would surprise me at this stage.
Not enough.
Zero, he is made of Teflon, nothing sticks to him. He can go as low as possible he doesn’t care, all he only cares himself.
None. He has a rock solid base of supporters who would vote for Gary Glitter if he had a blue rosette on.
Nothing will happen until the Tory backers have groomed another leader to take over from Johnson about 18 months before the next election though.
At that point a spangley new Tory party will rise like a phoenix from the cess pit of it’s own creation with new faces, fresh branding and the same old self centred corruption driving it’s policies.
My guess was that it was going to be Sunak until the truth came out and the public aired it’s feelings. Now they have to pick a successor from what’s left. Gove? Patel? Dorries? Is there anyone left in the party today that might win an election?
Johnson has about a year to a year and a half of his tenure left by my reckoning, by which point we will all have forgotten about this and be dealing with the next manufactured crisis.
He’s broken the law a few times before this and nothing came of it. I wouldnt expect anything this time.
The tories will ditch him just before the GE campaign and blame it all on him while they “did their best to guide the country through brexit, a pandemic and a war”
Right now? Not much
By the next election? Unless Labour do something _really_ stupid or the Tories do something miraculous, the Tories are at a very real risk of losing power. A lot of their voters have either defected to Labour or don’t know how they will vote anymore.
I think the RSPCA must investigate Downing Street, because there’s more dead cats in No10 than the rest of the UK.
he’s in zero danger, the same way Blair was in zero danger when he lied to get the country involved in the war in Iraq. that’s why they do this shit.
there will be zero ramifications, he will lose his current job, then he’ll get paid way more when he starts the lecture circuit.
meanwhile, anyone who protests any of this, will be in actual physical danger, and could be prosecuted…
Partygate is not about Boris Johnson but about law and order right and wrong
