  1. Those Tory MPs still supporting Boris & telling people to move on from their loved ones dying alone & terrified whilst they partied are all in the same boat, and I hope it sinks.

  2. Paywalled, please post the full text.

    (More words for automod.)

Edit: Thank you to u/slazer2k for doing u/Visual-Wonder-3017’s job.

  3. Breaking. Boris Johnson changes Parliamentary rules to Highlander rules, every time an MP resigns or goes against them he absorbs their position and voting power until only he can vote himself out.

  4. Yeah Hammond knows he’s in trouble round here if he doesn’t sack up, so I’m guessing the others are in a similar situation where one of the other parties are in spitting distance of taking their seats.

  5. Boris Johnson is an existential threat to his own party. They’d be wise to write to the 1922 Committee and force a leadership contest.

If things continue to get worse with the cost of living, the Tories will be wiped out in 2024.

  6. Only because he is now a walking PR disaster. Things like choosing not to feed children over half term or putting endless bureaucracy in place for refugees fleeing a warzone is A-OK because the media comes to their defence on those well enough. It is only when the public cannot be hoodwinked that Johnson is too much of a liability to have around.

  7. Paul Holmes (the MP, pictured) didn’t even send in his letter.

All he did was make some noise about resigning from his unpaid ministerial role under Patel.

How a gay person like Paul who went to school through Thatcher’s Section 28 can decide to join the party that denied the existence of LGBT people in his formative school years, I’ll never understand.
