In Kontiolahti, Finland, another stage of the Biathlon World Cup season 2025/26 took place.

The men’s 4×7.5 km relay brought the Ukrainian team 7th place. The team included Bohdan Tsimbal, Vitaliy Mandzin, Bohdan Borkovskyi, and Dmytro Pidruchnyi; the Ukrainians trailed the leader by 1 minute 51 seconds and fired 8 extra cartridges.

The victory was celebrated by athletes from Norway (0+7), who finished ahead of France (0+6) by 19.1 seconds. Bronze went to Sweden (1+10) with a 48.1-second gap to the leader. A total of 22 national teams started the race.

Tomorrow, March 8, the stage will continue with the women’s 4×6 km relay (14:30) and the men’s mass start at 15 km (17:55).

The penultimate World Cup stage of the biathlon season will take place on March 12–15 in Otepää (Estonia).
