On Friday their women’s line-up secured victory in the Women’s Team discipline and two of the athletes who contributed to that success, Taja Terbovsek and Maja Kovacic, returned for the Mixed Team contest and were joined by male athletes Jaka Kramer and Enej Faletic.

They led from the first jump of the opening round and would never surrender that position, despite spirited showings from Austria and Germany.

Slovenia’s four-strong line-up scored an overall total of 977.9 points for their eight jumps to claim victory.

“It means a lot, especially because it’s the first men’s medal of this championships,” said Enej Faletic, after helping Slovenia defend the title they won at the 2025 FIS Nordic Junior World Ski Championships.

“I’m really happy that I could perform my jumps after struggling in the past two events.”

Team-mate Kovacic added; “For me this competition was really hard. We didn’t really believe we were the best here and I personally didn’t do the best today, but thankfully others did better than me.”
