In Kontiolahti, Finland, the penultimate race of the seventh stage of the Biathlon World Cup for the 2025/26 season took place – the women’s 4×6 km relay.

The Ukrainian team finished the relay in 11th place, incurring one penalty lap and 15 extra rounds, they trailed the leader by 3 minutes 41.1 seconds.

The relay team included Anastasia Merkushina, Khrystyna Dmytrenko, Daryna Chalyk, and Olena Horodna.

In total, 19 teams started the race.

Sweden, France and Norway celebrated the victory

The victory went to the Swedish team with a result of 0+6, who finished 40.6 seconds ahead of France (0+3). Bronze medals went to Norway (1+10) with a gap of 1:06.8 behind the leader.

After the preparatory stages it was noted that 19 teams started.

Next up – the 15 km mass start and other events

The seventh stage of the World Cup will conclude with a 15 km mass start on Sunday, March 8, starting at 17:55 Kyiv time.

Additionally, the penultimate World Cup stage of the biathlon season will take place March 12–15 in Otepää (Estonia).
