Saw this in another subreddit. This really sucks. [I didn’t see anyone else do an update…so don’t mind if i do. No but in all seriousness it’s really sad to see this mural be replaced by an ad. u/RiverFinn]

  1. From Oatly’s webpages, their beliefs. Especially the profit bit.

Everybody—regardless of spiritual beliefs, birth country, race, gender, sexual orientation, or color of their nail polish—is of equal worth. The reckless pursuit of profits without any consideration for the well-being of the planet and the humans that live here should be considered a crime. Companies have as much responsibility as politicians do for building a society that every one of us living in this world can admire.

  2. There was a huge Oatly mural in Sörnäinen, Helsinki that is just getting replaced with something new. It’s not finished yet so no idea whether it’s an ad or art.

    Oatly giveth. Oatly taketh.

  3. Oh no!

Advertising space used again for advertising!

That mural was paid for, are you perhaps willing to pay the house for use of advertising space for the next mural?

  4. To be fair to be such an old art piece, it was in perfect condition. Painting a small milk carton next to it would had take much more publicity, based on the people subconstly watching the milk carton.

I walk over almost daily, was amazing to appreciate it, was looking at it everyday. Now I don’t even bother to see that white boring carton.

  5. Can’t the street branding be at least more creative! I know it’s a business at the end the benefits the city and the owner, but I was hoping for more insightful marketing.

  6. Would be really sad if somebody would throw paint filled balloons at it!…or a paint fillled fire extinguisher would accidentally release it’s pressure… really really sad!

  7. My friend used to live on that guys head. It vas a 26 m2 apartment where 16 m2 was the sauna. Many fond memories of early morning after parties there.
