Seriously, unless they’ve got family members of family friends here don’t bother with the UK. If it’s because they know English then try Ireland.
Someone I know who now lives in Germany has had members of his Ukrainian wife’s family living with him for several months. The EU made it SO straightforward, the UK scheme is a shambles. A shambles by design I think.

Boris used dead Ukrainian children as PR to distract people from his plethora of crimes!! You can’t expect this criminal scumbag to look after Ukranian children afterwards… 🤷♂️
There was no plan to actually take in refugees en masse. It was all a ploy to make it look like they were helping, all the while making it so hard to come here legally that Ukrainians would give up and go to EU countries instead. If they wanted to really help they would have just dropped all bureaucracy without a second thought.
