HUNTINGBURG, Ind. (WFIE) – Energy company AES is making an appeal to the Huntingburg Zoning Board.
Citizens tell us part of the previous agreement required all permits to be acquired and construction to begin within two years for the Crossvine Solar and Battery Project.
They say those conditions weren’t met, so the project could not move forward.
Now, they say the company is trying again.
Citizens are urging people to be there at the zoning appeal meeting.
It’s at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Huntingburg City Hall.
AES says the project will create 300 construction jobs.
Work is supposed to be complete this fall, with site mobilization starting next week.
