  1. How is Slovenia so bad when it’s right next to Italy? Don’t they share at least some culinary traditions?

  2. I am very suprised that there is no Austria on the list. I grew up on Schnitzel, Apfelstrudel, Marillenknödl or Palatschinke 🙁

  3. USA all the way up in 13th? I like a burger as much as the next guy, but come on…

Thailand being only 21st is sacrilege and the Padthai gods will find you, list maker!

  4. Alright Croatians… I see you up there, just above the mighty Portugal. Tell us what your absolute favourite Croatian dish is, I’m curious!

  5. Poor Austrians didn’t even get a participation trophy!

Guess whoever voted for this wasn’t a fan of deep-frying everything within reach. 😁

  6. Damn, Romania?

Also, Japan should be number 1 followed by china and then italy.

Also, wow Venezuela made the list!

  7. What I remember from the food I had in Romania is nice produce, great wine (though a lot of it was Moldovan) but stodgy and kinda bland food so I’m a little surprised by this! Maybe I was in the wrong part of the country?

  8. US 13th place? LOL!

Every time I am forced to go to the USA for work, I just can’t wait to get home and eat fresh healthy foods from different cultures. Local farms. Fresh cream. And fresh vegetables. The food in my part of the USA is utterly utterly awful.

It’s literally just grease mixed with processed shite and sugar smothered in processed cheese.

  9. If I only were allowed to eat one cuisine for the rest of my life it would be Italian so I don’t see anything wrong with this

Greece seems a bit high. Love me some moussaka but still

  10. Italian here. I absolutely agree! And the best of italian cuisine is that you can eat really good food almost everywhere in Italy

  11. Greece is a worthy runner-up. They’re one of the few countries I can travel to for weeks, and I won’t miss Italian food. Georgia should be much higher, one of my favorite cuisines in the world.

  12. It’s hilarious that this list has been cross posted to death in the last 48 hours and yet no one seems to know how it’s been made and are just being extremely xenophobic about it. Europeans, I’m sorry but you’re showing your colors here.

Taste atlas is a Croatian company first off, not American. And it’s a list based off of comments and reviews of restaurants. So basically it’s dependent on the population being involved with ratings on a platform.

  13. Something is not right with place 4. Romania before France… Mnah… Definitely cheesy…

  14. Hungary at 20th is let alone a joke, but the fact that USA is before it suggest that whoever made this list doesn’t know food
