I once randomly bumped in to Mattress Mick outside a pub a few years ago. I had been on the pints and when I saw him I just blurted out ‘ah it’s a Mattress Michael!’ He turns to me and says ‘stop only my mother calls me that’. Amused I ask him: ‘your mother calls you ‘Mattress Michael’?’
We all laugh. I shook his hand. Was fun. He was out on some sort of homeless charity initiative. Fair play to him, seems a good fella
