
Today in 2013, one of the biggest Gay Pride events of the Middle East (after Israel) and the Balkans was held in Istanbul, Turkey, with hundreds of thousands of participants. Since 2015, the Erdogan government has banned Gay Pridce events, other than small-scale marches, due to “security concerns”.

Yes, ban pride instead of cracking down on the fundamentalists who pose a threat to it.
Preparing for all the Turks to swing in complaining about “western cultural pressure” while at the same time wanting money, access, and resources from western nations.
We need to stop subsidizing their poor decisions.
