With that money you could buy a villa on the Italian riviera; I’m thinking San Remo. It would have an outdoor swimming pool instead of an indoor one. You’d also be living in the scintillating Mediterranean climate with lots of beautiful little villages nearby, amazing cuisine, happy easy going people and, of course, be close to the beach. And you would still have €7m left over to buy a yacht and sports car and another villa in the Caribbean for those winter months.
Cheap.
We have a recession on the way. The wealthy get advised/told to off load their assets beforehand.
There was a time I would dream of owning a mansion like that, now all I think of is – imagine how much the gas bill for heating that would be.

Imagine the upkeep of all those rooms, the gardening, the swimming pool maintenance…. fuck that! I just want an extra room that I can dump my child and all of her toys rather than tidying the up every night. And some proper cupboard space…
