the areas most fucked up by colonialism and shitty treatment don’t care about human rights.
I really don’t see how Serbia will join EU with that attitude.
I think it’s interesting that only 20 voted against but they’re still 1/3 of the land area of the earth. And probably 1/3 of world population since China and India are on the same side for this one.
What is India doing?
Now overlay abstentions with countries that received both western and sputnik doses.

I don’t know the context, but kinda looks like Mongolia abstaining takes more guts than western countries voting in favour.
I’m surprised by South Korea. Any idea on why they abstained?
Kind of looks like the Cold War map of First World/Second World/Third World countries.
So, what’s the purpose of this resolution ?
Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzistan are the only ex Soviet states which support Russia. Georgia, Balts 3x, Moldova and Ukraine of course are on the other side. Interesting
Basically the first world + second world except Russia vs. the third world.

Looks like another tally of the good, the bad and the chickenshit in this world.
Why so many abstained?
Meh, I am against Russia annexing Crimea but there are a lot of much worse places in the world nowadays than Crimea. This feels more of international pressure for the pressure sake than a genuine move.

South America ignoring an international issue? Colour me shocked!
SEA= Oh no big papa china don’t like this.
The human rights situation in Crimea is the same as the rest of Russia. Not great not terrible.
Why Philippines and Zimbabwe?
What’s the human rights situation in Crimea?
It was the U.S. who sanctioned doing business there, no?
