IndyStar is launching a new election show: ‘Meet the Candidates’

Election Day is quickly approaching, Hoosiers.

To help readers learn about the candidates, we’re launching a new “Meet the Candidates” show. Every Monday at 7 p.m., we’ll post our interview with a candidate from an important Central Indiana race. You can watch at IndyStar.com or on our Youtube page.

First up: Indiana’s 7th Congressional District, where U.S. Rep. André Carson is facing what could be his most serious challenge in years. George Hornedo, Destiny Wells and Denise Paul Hatch have all filed to run against him in the Democratic primary race. So far, they’re not pulling any punches against Carson.

Our politics team will ask the 7th District candidates for their views about Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the latest in the Iran conflict and why each candidate deserves your vote. Government editor Kaitlin Lange and politics reporters Kayla Dwyer and Marissa Meador will take turns hosting the show.
