> A part-time farmer was banned from driving for two years after he was caught lighting gorse fires
How is the punishment in any way related to the crime?
Didn’t pay your TV license? You’re not allowed to have a cat as a pet for 4 years.
Custodians of the land…
The most suitable punishment is for them to lose their land.
Knuckle dragging idiot
as someone from a farming background, I respect and appreciate farmers in ireland for how hard they work and I think they need more help, but there needs to be a lot of work done to get them to preserve their enviroment in their areas, more education, enforcement and subsidies would be a good solution
What is with the hatred of nature? Burn it, cut it, poison it… It’s frustrating to see for so called ‘custodians of the land’.
I love gorse, I walk through large sections in the bog and it smells lovely.
It also looks beautiful in my morning commute on the motorway.
