  1. >Piers Morgan is taking a six-week break from his struggling TalkTV show Piers Morgan: Uncensored.
    >
    >The British TV presenter and author, who has been called a “c***” by one of his guests, mocked for interviewing a Taliban spokesperson, and had an explosive interview with former President Donald Trump, has a viewership that is dwindling.
    >
    >A report earlier this month that Rupert Murdoch’s TalkTV has been rated as having “zero viewers” during certain points during primetime broadcasts.
    >
    >Morgan’s show’s figures from Wednesday (18 May) showed that his audience was only 24,000, which isn’t that much for evening television.

He was doing so well and fulfilling his dreams:

    >A comedian and activist has claimed she was ‘censored’ before appearing on TalkTV show Piers Morgan Uncensored and wasn’t allowed to challenge his “obsession” about Meghan Markle.
    >
    >Kate Smurthwaite, 46, has claimed to The Mirror how producers warned her certain things were off the agenda when she appeared on the former Good Morning Britain host’s no-holds-barred talk show.
    >
    >Kate had been invited to appear on the show as Piers was going to share more thoughts on Meghan Markle.
    >
    >The political comedian has claimed that on the morning of the show that producers had asked her not to repeat thoughts she had aired about Piers previously, especially that she believes he has a “nasty attitude” and a “childish obsession” with Meghan. …

And this is all such bad bad bad timing for him:

  2. Ahh! Following the Andrew Niel plan.

Move to right wing “news” network with huge fanfare, completely fail to success, go on “holiday”, become (even greater) laughing stock.

Good plan for Piers, I like where this is headed

  3. Probably going to spend a month or more, on his sofa in just his underpants, rocking backwards and forwards repeating ‘Love me or hate me, you won’t want to miss me’, and surviving only on Gregg’s vegan sausage rolls.

  4. LMAO I had no idea his tv show was struggling. This shit is advertised everywhere. I’ve seen it on billboards, busses, papers etc.

I thought the whole “he tells it like it is” aspect would have his brain dead viewers tuning in by the boat but apparently not!

Its so cringey seeing an adult who has a TV show and the only premise is “u r triggered”. Glad its not working for this talentless phone hacking cunt

  5. > Morgan’s show’s figures from Wednesday (18 May) showed that his audience was only 24,000, which isn’t that much for evening television.

Just to clarify: taking a break is just the polite way of saying he’s having his contract cancelled.

  6. I don’t really get why they thought this would succeed? Piers really isn’t that popular, he doesn’t have consistent viewpoints – he just seems to pick the most controversial view he can and start getting irate. Who actually likes him? Everyone thinks he’s a prick

  7. I’m really proud of us on the rare occasions that Americanisation fails to catch on in the UK. They wanted to set up Fox News here, we said Nah.

  8. I hope I don’t have to see his face on the buses. I have a reason why I don’t watch TV channels or read tabloids, to avoid these cringey idiots.

  9. Remember when Andrew Neil did this after his show on GB News also launched to nothing? Let’s hope it will be the same result in the long term.

  10. Hilarious really… the ‘anti cancel culture’ show, when it appears Piers has cancelled himself. I am sure there’s a teachable moment somewhere in there.

  11. Ah, the old “four weeks on, six weeks off” shift pattern. If the idiot just kept his cool and tried to have a conversation with a weatherman he’d still have his sweet job on GMB, and not craft a voodoo doll of Richard Madeley.

  12. >Murdock Talk Tv has, at times, been rated as having ZERO viewers

Gratifying as that is, you just know he’ll double down on the right-wing feck-wittery until the UK has an awful Fox News type channel to spew out semi-fascist propaganda to *our* morons.

Just needs the execrable Johnson Administration to relax or eliminate broadcasting ‘fairness’
regulations like Regan The Dumb did in the US back in the day.

  13. >As Indy100 understands, Morgan’s six-week break is a pre-scheduled and planned summer holiday

    We’ll see

  14. So glad they pissed all that advertising money away. Maybe this will teach these chodes a lesson that there isn’t that much money in being a prick online.

  15. Wish he’d just stay home and not speak in any public way. Even as far as shutting up when shopping.

  16. Piers thinks he more popular than he is. When he was on itv, he was much more accessible to the masses .

He thought with his popularity, the masses would flock to GobshiteTV to listen to him. They aren’t

  17. It was like when Coronation street stars in the 80s and 90s mistook the 20 million people watching the show and enjoying their characters for meaning these 20 million people were watching because they were in the show and the ego grows and eventually they kid themselves they are bigger than the show.

Then they’d get offered some other part and bosses wouldn’t give them time off, so they’d quit in a huff, tell the press about all their plans now they were free and after 2 or 3 flops they’d wind up doing double-glazing adverts.
