Um no all the crime is still in the gare…the idea that criminals are scared to go there and are therefore migrating to the pirate ship park is a load of crap
for years, they hoped they could tolerate these “inconvenients” because they would stay confined in the station area. How naif…
Once you allow the situation getting out of control, it is then too late to reverse it. If they patrol the city center, the potential criminals will spread to other residential areas… her re-election is all but granted next time.
It’s time to stop the politically correctness and start enforcing the law so that all citizens and residents, and tourists for that matter, feel safe.
As someone who lives in the gare area for quite some time, I can’t believe what a dump this place has become.
Wonderful. Private cops helped make the citizens of Liverpool access their communal spaces safely and without fear. /sarcasm

Add to this the fact that private security – such as G4S following a secured vehicle – are currently allowed to openly carry sidearms whilst operating in Luxembourg.
Having lived in Luxembourg for well over ten years, any crime is not going to be solved by private patrols. A good start would be actually getting the police to take their work of serving the community seriously. My recent experiences have been with exasperated cops who obviously did not want me there reporting simple issues such as lost items for insurance purposes, or the recent flooding where they refused to act until 16 hours later.
