With a new solar panel installation at its Hartlepool site, brake friction solutions manufacturer TMD Friction is now able to cover around six per cent of the facility’s annual energy demand from this renewable source. The company has also set up a photovoltaic system at its plant in Romania, commenting that both projects mark a “significant step forward” in its Sustainability Roadmap 2040, which includes a target of powering all facilities with 100 per cent renewable energy by 2030.
