Because that worked out really well last time. I wouldn’t object to a coalition government, but given how sore all of our arseholes were after their last stint, and the anti-democratic stance that the Lib Dems took to Brexit (i.e. an election promise to reverse a democratic vote), I would wholly reject the Lib Dems participation in central government.
Doubt Labour would be as pragmatic and able to put aside their arrogance and tribalism.
As a lefty, socialist union man I would gladly endorse this.
Desperate Lib Dems will do anything for a sniff of influence. Basically pointless.
The most important thing in the next GE. Get rid of these thieving criminals.
Then plug the holes and stop them ever coming back, along with a very questioned inquiry into the police.
Too bad Jo Swindon could not have done that…
I dream of a lib dem-green coalition. I don’t think they’d be any good but it’d be something different to complain about.
Two words for you, Nick and Clegg.
man was literally part of a tory government
Last time lib Dems decided to do a team up, student fees increased despite promises not to…… Drop them.in a vat of acid. They’re about as trustworthy as getting french kisssed by a facehugger.
Of course they would even if it meant selling their promises like the last time.
The dream scenario for me is a Labour-Lib Dem coalition with Lib Dem primarily pushing for voting reform (perhaps to STV).
I’d love to see Lib Dems win west Dorset, Labour would have no chance.
…but in Scotland work with and enable the Tories.
Remember a Lib Dem vote got you a Tory government in 2010. Fool me once…
They did say that last time, but Labour was deluded enough to think they could win by themselves.
I hope that Labour have learned a lesson, but I am not sure.
