The Pittsburgh Paints Co. (Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania) is introducing the Tru-Industrial line, an industrial coatings brand that delivers powerful protection against tough environments in sectors including transportation, building materials, sheds, trailers and heavy-duty equipment.
The coating supplier has more than 150 years of expertise in dedicated industrial products and local, quality services. This latest portfolio launch is an “opportunity for us to better serve the industrial coatings segment with new, innovative solutions,” says Dennis Karnstein, president and general manager – commercial, Pittsburgh Paints Co.
The portfolio, which includes a full lineup of primers, topcoats and more, comprises three primary sub-brands:
Tru-Solv Max coatings. Solvent-based coatings formulated with advanced resin technologies range from quick-dry enamels to two-component epoxies and urethanes.
H-Tru-O-Max coatings. Water-based coatings that provide low volatile organic compound (VOC) solutions in harsh environments.
Tru-Shed Max coatings. Coatings made specifically for shed builders, backed by a shed program that helps manufacturers create beautiful, durable finishes, while supporting them with local stores, stock and service.
In addition to its leading sub-brands, the Pittsburgh Paints Tru-Industrial portfolio includes machine-applied and wood coatings, powder coatings, pretreatment products, solvents and sundries and touch-up solutions.
“Not all of our products will be brand new to the industry — some are the heritage of formulas that are just taking on a new name,” says Karnstein. “As we continue to strengthen our brand presence in the industrial sector, we’ll start to roll out our new labels. Our customers and dealer partners can expect to start seeing the new branding on our products and materials throughout the first half of 2026.”
