The queen stays consistent when it comes to her footwear, and it’s never a surprise to see her wear the same pair of shoes or brands repeatedly, in a wide range of styles. For the visit with the pope, she opted for Magrit’s buckle low-heel pumps in beige.
The style has been a favorite for the queen, and she also has other colors and styles for the brand that are staples in her wardrobe. The Spanish-made shoes featured a pointed toe and smooth leather finish, characterized by their rectangular buckle.

The buckle is set low on the vamp, and the shoes balance on a short covered kitten heel in the same neutral shade, measuring around two inches. She wore the shoes earlier this month when she attended World Day for Rare Diseases events at the Palacio de Congresos de Castellon in Castellon de la Plana, Spain.

Pope Leo XIV is meeting with King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia ahead of King Felipe’s investiture as a protocanon of the Papal Basilica of Saint Mary Major in Rome. For her arrival, the royal sported a white long-sleeve tweed midi dress in white, leaning into the privilège du blanc.
The privilege of wearing white, which is a rare Vatican protocol allowing specific Catholic queens and princesses to wear white, rather than the traditional black, during private audiences, canonizations, or beatifications with the Pope. This privilege signifies their high standing within the Catholic tradition and is currently held by only seven royal women.
