Cairo/Riyadh, March 21 (SANA) Egypt and Saudi Arabia condemned the Israeli aggression targeting military infrastructure in southern Syria, describing it as a violation of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement released Friday that the kingdom rejects the “flagrant aggression and Israel’s violation” of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, calling on the international community to take action to halt such actions.

The ministry added that Saudi Arabia supports Syria’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, and backs efforts aimed at ensuring security and stability.

Egypt’s Foreign Ministry said it rejects the repeated Israeli actions, warning that the escalation poses a serious risk to regional security and stability.

Cairo called for the immediate withdrawal of Israeli forces from the occupied Syrian territories and urged the international community, particularly the U.N. Security Council, to take urgent steps to stop the violations.

The statements followed an Israeli aggression on military infrastructure in southern Syria on Friday.
