ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A child was shot in Rome Thursday night, police said.
Police said officers responded to a home on Superba Avenue NE about 10:30 p.m. and found a child with a bullet wound to his left shoulder.
Officers later found bullet casings near the intersection of Superba Avenue NE and Clervue Circle. The home’s left side faced the intersection, and there were no bullet holes on its right side.
Surveillance footage from a nearby gas station showed multiple cars involved in previous drive-by shootings near the home at the time of the shooting, but the shooter is still at large.
