Because long term thinking doesn’t exist these days. We sort of just stagger from quarterly profit report to quarterly profit report.
Long covid – while know about – still isn’t fully understood. How do you react to something that you don’t understand?
The simple answer is, nobody actually knows, yet, what the long-term effects are. We only know that some people will continue to suffer from some of the symptoms for some amount of time that still isn’t determined.
It’s ok, someone on this sub told me it was massively overblown and could be ignored.
Edit: ok ok /s
Because hasn’t they heard Boris Johnson’s answer to every single question he’s ever asked in every single PMQ’s?
Nobody needs to give a shit about anything ever because there’s record numbers of people in work and no other question needs to get answered and fuck everyone and everything else etc.
A couple of anecdotes and an attempt to conflate long covid with every other long term illness.
What a mess of an article.
Labour shortage where I work is seriously damaging the business and its nothing to do with covid.
Note for reddit business consultants, we pay well we advertise we give a £25 bonus per day for working overtime on top of time and a half.
I’ve just had a working week off and it would have been closer to two if I couldn’t work from home.
We have rarely had a full complement for a while. There’s always someone off with it and it does seem to take more a less a week each time.
Because of Ableism, really. This country really doesn’t get on with the sick wastrels who just don’t contribute? Or at least that feels like the attitude.
I work PT in a vacc centre. And it is bad. Sometimes only 5 people turning up a day. And this is the over 75 and vulnerable.
Take up for under 11 is about 20%
They are closing a load of sites and going down to 3 days a week at many now. Nobody comes in anymore. The narrative is it is over
The long term effects are not being discussed, as with vaxx injuries, because it does not follow the playbook or agenda.
‘Long covid’, Aka ‘I’ve been paid to sit at home on my arse for 2 years so why should I go and work for my money.
