Repairing a natural gas pipeline at the intersection of Eubank and Montgomery boulevards is likely to continue for more than a week, but the impact on traffic is expected to improve, at least temporarily. A New Mexico Gas Company news release said that crews are working Sunday to reopen all three eastbound lanes on Montgomery Boulevard, two of which were closed Friday while the damage to the pipeline was evaluated. In the meantime, NMGC has made the area safe enough for permanent repairs to begin as soon as possible. More lane closures are expected to be needed while the work continues, the release said.
