President Donald Trump said Friday the “major” goal of the war with Iran is “they cannot have a nuclear weapon.” Then he said leaving now would come with dire consequences.
Ending the war today would allow the theocracy to rebuild and rearm a nuclear bomb, which they would then use on Israel, and we would have another world war. That’s painfully clear.
As we have stated in this space before, all you need to see is the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas carnage when the terror group invaded Israel, showing no mercy. Hamas was funded by Iran. That’s a nightmare Israel is fighting to never allow again. And Trump knows what would happen if Iran launched a nuclear bomb at Israel or any Gulf nation.
It would be Armageddon.
That Oct. 7 series of heart-wrenching clips compiled by the Israel Defense Forces viewed by the Herald in a downtown Boston office was 43 minutes of hell on Earth: You see “138 murders,” said the consulate general of Israel to New England that day. Death was the only escape.
It was graphic, unsettling, and turn-away brutal that shines a light on just how unforgiving the terrorists were. Many tried to hide, but they died. The Hamas killers were armed with what appeared to be newer assault rifles and plenty of hand grenades. Iran gloated over the epic humiliation it bankrolled from oil sales.
Trump told MS Now’s Stephanie Ruhle in a phone interview Friday that Iran is weak, but not done in.
“If we left right now, it would take them at least 10 years to rebuild, but rebuild they will,” Trump said. “If we stay longer, they’ll never rebuild.”
There’s only one path — finish the job!
Trump, in Friday’s interview with Ruhle, said the U.S. and Israel share “largely similar” goals for Iran. “The difference is, they live right next door. We don’t. That’s a big difference,” as CNBC put it.
That’s why you need to study the Oct. 7 Hamas attack. Israel knows women and babies were tortured, burned and posed in inhuman ways for one reason — to frighten.
War is never the answer, but to stop attacking Iran today would be a disaster for Israel, the Middle East, and the impoverished people of Iran.
As Bloomberg states this week, after nearly three weeks of fighting, the U.S. is reaching the limits of what air power can accomplish. Although American and Israeli strikes have destroyed thousands of military targets and killed dozens of top officials, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the regime remains unbowed. Its drone and missile attacks on neighboring countries and on container ships hoping to transit the Strait of Hormuz have paralyzed the Persian Gulf region. Oil prices are surging; industries from agriculture to semiconductors fear shortages of key inputs. Inflation worries are spreading.
That calls for allowing U.S. Central Command to be “relentlessly lethal,” as Admiral Brad Cooper, Commander of U.S. Central Command, stated Saturday morning.
“We will not stop pursuing these targets,” the admiral said about going after Iran’s missiles and closing the Straits of Hormuz. “We are taking out thousands of Iranian missiles, advanced attack drones, and Iran’s navy.”
On Oct. 7, 2023, babies were killed and burned. Women were tortured. A group of about a dozen teenage girls was cornered. A man had his head chopped off by a Hamas terrorist using a heavy-duty hoe. The terrorists were gleeful.
This can never happen again!
