Housing, fuel, hotels, airport but no, it’s the taxis that are the true crisis
Stop closing everything at the same time. There, I just solved the issue.
More night bus routes please!
Welcome to the late 90’s/early 2000’s everyone too young to have lived through that
Aahh remember when taxi drivers were constantly moaning that there were too many taxis in Dublin?
Those were the days
What isn’t a fucking crisis at this point
Hard to have any sympathy for Dublin taxi drivers at times. Even on quiet nights it’s impossible to get one as a single guy. Free taxis tend to turn off the light and drive right on by. Also had some attitude from a few who have stopped for ‘only’ going ten minutes down the road.
A driver told us last week that the issue is that a lot of them won’t work town cos the hassle of it with the one way streets and the messy drunks, so they’d rather do the suburbs than come in.
We walked from town almost to fairview before we could get one to take us.
If only there’s was an obvious solution, cough *uber* cough
Time for Uber to be allowed operate properly
There’s a queue for crises at the moment, please take a ticket
THIS is a crisis….?Think some people need to experience a REAL crisis to be honest – this is just an minor inconvenience.
Crises are so hot right now!
Headline:
Consumers facing lack of supply in industry that pushed for artificial scarcity of supply
We’ve plenty of taxis. The issue is the number of night busses and the luas and dublinbikes stopping at 12:30,
How about not relying entirely on taxis and private cars for all night transport? Nah that would be crazy.
If the government hadn’t squeezed and suffocated the taxi owners and drivers out of business there would be no shortage.
Is anything in this fucking country actually doing well?
I heard that a lot got out of the taxi business when there was F all work due to covid, got other jobs, and never went back.

What do luas decide to do? Finish service an hour early https://twitter.com/Luas/status/1532995571312623623
That’s it, back to drunk driving.
Everything is a crisis now.
