I found that thing and two similar looking objects during hiking in a valley near engelberg. I was wondering what it could be as it looks military like but there where no warning signs nearby and a hiking trail went though that valley.
Army’s been playing around in the mountains. It’s not uncommon to find ammunition and shells. Wouldn’t poke it with a stick.
Probs just a shell that didn’t explode, maybe try bringing it home and drill through it, may have something valuable in it
Looks like some remains of ammunition but without the “dangerous end” – but maybe better be safe;
It’s a toy called blind goer, nothing to worry about
Call the Blindgänger Meldezentrale of the Army and tell them the coordinates, they’ll go pick it up.
chances are that this is a avalanche shell from last winter that didn’t explode.
it’s common in Switzerland to ensure avalanche safety by manually triggering controlled small avalanches instead of waiting for disaster.
best report it so they can recover it.
Got a slingshot? I’d definitely try to hit it with a rock.
Looks like Fritz forgot a toy or two when he was running around
A dildo if you are brave enough

Looks like a mountain goat..
Could be an avalanche shell, could be an illumination round. Please inform the authorities according to the information above.
There’s an app “Blindgänger” for iOS and android you can send use that to send them the photo and report it.
Vacuum cleaner, it clears everything on a radius of 100 meters. Call the police so they can call the army in order to pick it up
It’s not uncommon to find these in the mountains. Notify using the infos on the chart.
Angry rocks
There’s an app from the Swiss army. With it, you can identify and, above all, report. It’s all very simple.
The app is called “Blindgänger”.
I think that s a rock
Throw rocks at it
It’s an 1. Auguscht Rageeeetääää!
It’s an 1. Auguscht Rageeeetääää!
Looks like it’s the “great Swiss challenge” and someone has forgotten or abandoned it there after using it
This is the motor section of a Raketenrohr 80 practice projectile. The inert chalk warhead has been destroyed upon impact. Our army has phased these things out in the 90s and this particular specimen has likely been fired at a practice range somewhere above this photo, possibly into snow or ice. The seasons’ change over the years has then displaced it to where you’ve found it now.
For comparison, here’s the various projectiles that were available, it’s the rear half of the black-greenish one.
i’ve fount plenty of those as a kid and played with them…
How stupid of me, but 99%chance nothing will happen to you.
You can only be 100% sure if you throw it rly hard on the ground.
It’s the body of a spent anti-tank missile. It’s completely harmless in the state it’s in. I’ve got two of those in my living room.

This looks like E2 or E3 on [this chart](https://www.vtg.admin.ch/content/vtg-internet/de/service/was-koennen-wir-fuer-sie-tun-/blindgaenger-melden/_jcr_content/contentPar/tabs/items/dokumente/tabPar/downloadlist/downloadItems/131_1470927390288.download/Form26.47dfi.pdf) so a practice shell.
