We’re willing to suffer the alerts in silence, stick close to shelters and safe rooms, crowd into public shelters and even sleep in a train station. Petrified by fear, we scrutinize the buildings hit by missiles and sigh over every Israeli who is killed or wounded. But we grit our teeth and keep going, because we are obedient citizens, and we’ve been told that there is no war more justified than this one. Just like all the other wars we have fought.
