While a great deal of recent shipping news has been focused on what is happening internationally, there are domestic changes to watch as well. President Donald Trump recently announced a temporary waiver for the Jones Act, which is legislation enacted in 1920 that requires products traveling from one American port to another do so on American-built and American-crewed ships.
