Perspective is weirding me out
As a Leuveneir i hate to disappoint you: this is what is called “kermisarchitectuur” – its a potpourri of styles and few items are original/authentic.
But yes for pictures its a marvel 🙂
Someone was a bit overzealous on the perspective correction.

I (34f USA) did a month abroad here way back in 2009 and loved it so much. I cried so hard when I had to leave. I still wear a ring every day that I bought at a market here. It was such a beautiful city and a lovely time, and I felt like I was in the earth equivalent of the concept of “heaven”. I hope one day to come back and visit.
