Suzanne Harrington: Amber Heard had the digital equivalent of a witch burning

  1. This is utter shite.

Amber Heard is an abusive, toxic human being who violently assaulted her husband on several occasions. Her own testimony in this freakshow was damning; highlights included:

    – “I didn’t punch you, I **hit** you”
    – “Go ahead, Johnny, tell a judge or the police that I abuse you. No one will believe you because you’re a man.”

It is evident that both are toxic people but to claim that justice being done in terms of Amber Heard is “misogyny” is next level mental gymnastics. Women do not have the monopoly on victimhood, men can be abused as well as be abusers and the attempts to move the goalposts by so-called “feminists” in the aftermath of this trial has been nothing sort of nauseating and totally embarrassing.

What a terrible take on it all…. they should stop using pictures of Amber Heard looking sad, tired and forlorn as well. It’s such a transparent tactic to portray an abuser as some “flawed victim”. It’s gross.

  2. There is absolutely no evidence that Amber Heard was physically abused by Depp while Heard was recorded and has admitted violently assaulting him on more than one occasion.

“Imperfect victim” what a load of gaslighting shite. The author is implying that all women should be automatically believed not only in the absence of evidence, but even when there’s evidence to the contrary. How do clowns like this get published in national newspapers?

  3. One interesting thing this case raises is that you really cant trust journalist reports at all. Reading this you would think there was overwhelming evidence in Amber Heards favour. If it wasn’t all available online you might even believe it

  4. All the broadsheet media are saying the same thing. On The Guardian website there are about 4 or 5 articles all saying how the verdict was unjust and terrible for the MeToo movement. They’re all describing it as a backlash against the MeToo movement.

They just don’t get it. Personally I’m wholly supportive of the MeToo movement, as I suspect are the vast majority of people. The issue is that she was portraying herself a victim of domestic abuse, despite the fact that she was committing domestic abuse herself. It’s also that she belittled suggestions that Depp could come out as a victim of domestic abuse, saying that no-one would believe him, and that he was a baby.

That’s the issue here. It’s frustrating that all journalists seem to have a closed mind to this issue
