Following the fallout resulting from her (and ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor‘s) friendship with disgraced paedophile, Jeffrey Epstein, Sarah Ferguson is apparently ‘missing’ – as she has yet another honour stripped from her.
According to the Daily Express, a ‘loyal friend’ of Ferguson’s has labelled her “the most famous missing person in the UK” as she lays low, after emails showed her asking Epstein for money and seem to suggest they stayed in contact after his release from prison (he was convicted of soliciting a minor for prostitution).
The same friend apparently described Ferguson as someone who would “give you her last fiver, which is probably why she’s in this mess in the first place.”
Elsewhere, the former Duchess of York has had her Freedom of the City of York honour (a commendation bestowed by the City of York Council) revoked following councillors casting a unanimous vote.

Andrew Mountbatten Windsor previously held the same privilege, but had his revoked four years ago due to his links with Epstein.
Earlier this month, Cosmopolitan UK reported that the former Prince has managed to cling on to one title, after having all others snatched away by the crown: a review confirmed he will still hold Freedom of the City of London honours, as the historic recognition was given “by virtue of patrimony” – meaning he inherited the right to it through his father, Prince Philip, who had also been a Freeman of the City.
