Morocco’s flagship carrier, Royal Air Maroc (RAM), launched a new direct route between Brussels and Tetouan, expanding air links between Morocco and Europe and targeting both diaspora and tourists, the company announced on Friday.
The inaugural flight departed Brussels Airport on Friday, with the service expected to operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays.
Morocco’s ambassador to Belgium, Mohamed Amer, said the launch reflects closer ties between the two countries and will facilitate travel for Moroccans living abroad.
The Brussels-Tetouan service adds to RAM’s existing routes from Brussels to Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech, Nador, and Tangier.
RAM Regional Director Mohamed Issam Mosseddaq said the new connection is part of a broader strategy to improve access between Morocco and European markets.
