Australia’s leading pacer Leap To Fame (Bettors Delight) had little more than a working jog in disposing of his rivals in the Outkast National Design and Construction Pace at Albion Park on Saturday night.

Having his last start before he tackles the Cambridge Slot race in a fortnight connections elected to give the champion another start before he departs next weekend. Following his wonderful win in the Miracle Mile, Leap To Fame looked his typical magnificent self.

Driver Grant Dixon must have been pleased at the speed that Leap To Fame showed early on when he was able to easily hold the lead. District Attorney was able to follow up and sit behind Leap To Fame with Jimartee in third place. And that’s the way they finished as none of the others could make up any ground in the final lap.
What was particularly striking was the way Leap To Fame went to the finishing line. He ran his last quarter in 26.1 seconds full of running in his overall mile rate of 1.52.6.

The $1 million Slot race will be run on 10 April and Leap To Fame is scheduled to leave for Auckland on Easter Weekend. At this stage he will have just the one start before coming back to Australia.
On his current form he’s likely to start favourite even though he’s going to face fellow Australians The Janitor, Kingman and Swayzee as well as the New Zealand contingent.
