NHS staff working in nightingale had NO PPE at all until the day before a Tory MP visited – he didn’t want to be photographed with unprotected staff so got it shipped in just for his visit.
I know someone who watched 5-10 people die EVERY DAY for weeks, before almost dying of it themselves. They didn’t leave the site for weeks to avoid contaminating other people, and they had no idea when it would end.
There’s a world of difference between providing end of life care – in some cases to friends and colleagues – and making up shite 3-word slogans.
These takes are so fucking weird. Like when people say serving police officers should get off with some illegal stuff because they’re the police. Or that a long distance lorry driver should have way more points on their licence before it’s revoked than a little old granny that goes out once a week.
