GREENTOWN – Today, the large sycamore tree stands just east of the Pioneer Village on the Howard County Fairgrounds.
But before it became a sturdy, towering tree along County Road 900 East, it traveled 1.8-million miles orbiting Earth as a seed inside the space shuttle Atlantis.
